Asked in most quantitative tests, series completion problems follow a particular pattern. All you need to do is study and set a relationship among numbers to complete the series.

A 3 step approach can clear all your concerns as you approach such sort of questions. These are:

Step 1: Observe if are there any familiar numbers in the given series.  Familiar numbers are primes numbers, perfect squares, cubes, numbers which are easy to identify.
Step 2: Calculate the differences between the numbers.  Observe the pattern in the differences.  If the differences are growing rapidly it might be a square series, cube series, or multiplicative series.  If the numbers are growing slowly it is an addition or subtraction series.
Step 3: Sometimes number will be multiplied and will be added another number So we need to check those patterns as well.

The types of series could be Prime Number Series, Difference Series, Division Series, Square of a number Series, Cube of a number Series and a mixed version that includes any 2 types mentioned above.

We bring to you a fun quiz on a series competition. Let’s see if you can crack some of these code numbers. We will come up with more such fun learning activities.
